Unfortunately the football God's have consistently shat on Burns in the years following this article. 6 years in the NFL, on team #2, 5 different Head Coaches, 4 different Defensive Coordinators, and a bottom 3 offense every year of his career except for 2, and even then they were never even in the top 20. Every year starts out promising and then every defensive playmaker around him goes down, leaving Burns to do it all by himself year after year and rarely does he ever get the acknowledgement or credit he is due.
