Welcome everyone to the 2026 NFL Draft film room series where I sit down with various offensive line prospects to bring you unique insight into the position from their perspective. I welcomed Penn State All-American left guard Vega Ioane to the film room for Episode 1 of my 2026 OL prospect series. A powerful, tone-setting interior presence at 6’4”, ~330+ pounds, Ioane has been a multi-year fixture in the Nittany Lions’ starting five and one of the most dependable pieces of Penn State’s offense over the last two seasons.
Ioane earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors and was recognized as a First-Team All-American during the 2025 postseason awards cycle, validating what the tape shows: a guard who consistently wins with power, a stout anchor and strong hands.
Despite Penn State’s offense underperforming this year, Ioane stood out as a steady, high-floor force inside — and the best “true guard” I evaluated in the 2026 class at this stage of the process. In this film room, I run through 15–20 of his best reps to illustrate why: displacement in the run game, firm edges in pass pro, and the kind of play temperament that sets the standard for everyone around him.
Free preview runs from 3:19–12:28. Full Film Room available for paid subscribers.
