The Inside the Trenches Film Room - Ep. 4 with special guest Teven Jenkins

For this week’s Inside the Trenches Film Room I brought on Oklahoma State tackle Teven Jenkins to break down 30+ plays from his 2019 and 2020 seasons.

Jenkins and I discussed:

• His mental approach to the game

• Various techniques he uses as a pass protector to stay unpredictable

• What he credits for the rare power and grip strength that he displays on tape

• Playing for several different O-line coaches and one key acronym he took from one that helped him excel in pass protection

• The Joseph Ossai matchup

• Correcting early mistakes later on in a game

As Jenkins prepares for the draft and people start to study his tape this film room can provide some unique insight and context into how he can succeed as a pro.

Through roughly a dozen tackle grades so far I have Jenkins ranked as the second best player at his position in the class and after getting a peak into his mindset that belief has only been reinforced.
