Hey everyone, thank you so much for your patience as I’ve been working to figure out the best way to record a film room to provide you with some video content. I finally settled on using Zoom and have recorded the first episode in what will be a running series from now until the draft in April.
I’d like to officially introduce ‘Inside the Trenches,’ a film session where I will go solo or with a guest and break down the tape of some of the top O-line prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft. The goal will be to showcase how the player wins, what traits they have that will translate to the next level, and provide context into the evaluation. I also want to have fun with it so I will include plays that have the players doing something unusual, using showmanship, or just something amazing.
Episode one is on the 2020 Rimington award winner and leader of the top unit in the nation, Alabama center Landon Dickerson. The core traits that make Dickerson a premier prospect are play strength, power, competitive toughness, and mental processing. There are also position specific traits, skills, and nuances to his game that I will shed light on in the video.
After you check this out, I need your feedback! So please come back and leave a comment on this post if you have any suggestions for how I can make this a better experience for you.
As a subscriber to this newsletter, I value your input and want to provide work that you find valuable. I’m ecstatic to have video content for you and look forward to refining these film rooms so that I can provide you with an invaluable resource for learning about what really goes on inside the trenches.
Great Breakdown loved it!
Couldn’t be more impressed with this format. More please! P.S. love Dickerson too.
